Who is this guy?

Hi, I’m Scott Boyarsky and I’ve loved woodworking for as long as I can remember. It started as a hobby. Building things for myself, learning as I went.

Eventually I started making pieces for family, then friends. The first time a stranger paid me for something I’d made, Boyarsky Woodworking stopped being just a hobby.

Every piece I make starts with hardwood sourced as close to home as possible. It matters to me to know where the wood came from, that a tree that grew nearby ends up as something useful in your kitchen. Tree to table, all the way through.

I’m still a hobbyist at heart. I work out of my basement shop because I love being down there flexing my analog creativity. The weight of good hardwood. The smell of sawdust. The grain you can’t predict until you start cutting. Getting an edge right. No two pieces come out the same, and I wouldn’t want them to.

Because I work alone in a basement shop, I don't keep much inventory. A few pieces are usually ready to ship, but the work I love most is custom — someone with an idea they've been picturing, a gift for someone who matters, a commission for a loved one, a piece for a space they're trying to make their own. That's the work I want.

If you've got something in mind, get in touch. A cutting board, a built-in bar, a river table, a keepsake for an occasion that only comes around once — whatever the piece, every commission starts with a conversation about the wood, the size, the use, and what you want it to mean. I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right builder for the job.

You dream it. I build it. Always on the level.
