End Grain Black Walnut Cutting Board

A true workhorse cutting board, built from end grain black walnut and designed for daily kitchen use. End grain construction means the knife edge slips between the wood fibers rather than slicing across them — the result is a board that's gentler on blades, self-heals over time, and outlasts edge grain or face grain boards by years.

Hand-glued from individual walnut blocks, planed flat, and finished food-safe with mineral oil and beeswax. The chevron-pattern grain is a natural result of the build, not a stain or veneer — every block is a unique cross-section of the tree.

Sized for serious prep work but at home on the counter as a display piece between meals. Custom dimensions and wood species available on commission.
