Hand-Turned Figured Maple Bowl

Turned from a single section of figured maple, this open bowl pairs everyday usefulness with the quiet shimmer that only figured wood delivers. Tilt it under the light and the curl comes alive — soft, rippling bands of light and shadow that seem to shift as you move around the piece. The pale cream-to-honey tone keeps it bright and clean, a natural fit for a kitchen counter, dining table, or sideboard.

The form is generous and welcoming: a wide, open mouth finished with a gently rolled rim that feels substantial in the hand, with smoothly rounded sides drawing down to a balanced foot.
