Live Edge Curly Maple Bowl, 6”

Hand-turned bowl in curly maple, cut from locally sourced hardwood and turned with the natural edge left intact. The bark line still wraps the rim, so the bowl carries the shape of the tree it came from. No two live edge pieces are ever alike.

The walls are loaded with curl. A rippling fiddleback shimmer runs top to bottom and shifts as the light moves across it. A few small flecks scattered through the grain add to the character. The deeper form gives it real presence and makes the figure read from across the room.

It works as a centerpiece, a key and watch catch-all, or a spot for fruit and snacks. Finished with a food-safe oil and buffed to a soft luster you can refresh at home with a wipe of mineral oil or board butter.

Roughly 6” across and 4” tall. Signed, dated, and branded on the base. One of a kind.

The natural edge is a feature, not a flaw. Handle the bark gently and keep the bowl out of the dishwasher and away from standing water. Hand wash and dry.
